A special, invite only, advance screening of “The Last Showgirl” starring Pamela Anderson took place Thursday night, January 2nd, at the Beverly Theater on 6th Street in downtown Las Vegas, before it opens in theaters on January 10. The event included a live, in person appearance by Anderson and the film’s producer, Robert Schwartzman.

“The Brutalist" Named Best Film of 2024 By Nevada Film Critics Society

The Nevada Film Critics Society has announced its 2024 award winners for achievement in film. Taking top honors for Best Film is The Brutalist, a historical drama about a Hungarian born visionary architect who comes to America to to rebuild his life after escaping from the Holocaust. The film also nabbed 5 additional awards including Best Supporting Actor (Guy Pearce), Best Director (Brady Corbet), Best Original Screenplay (Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold), Best Production Design (Judy Becker) and Best Cinematography (Lol Crawley).
In other major categories, Cynthia Erivo won Best Actress for Wicked and Zoe Saldana won Best Supporting actress for Emelia Perez.
